I have once again been given the honor of writing a guest post on Dovi's blog and allowing another glimpse of selected parts of my musical library – and, in this case, one of special sentimental value: Argentina. My stormy romance with Argentina began about six years ago, when an Argentine co-worker let me listen to some tracks on her media player. I rapidly became quite hooked on Argentine music, and, through it, on Argentine culture in particular and South American culture in general. At the time, I also began learning Spanish intensively, and these songs were a quick way of enriching my vocabulary: I used to print the lyrics and study the words I could not recognize. South American music is a world in itself, full of styles, emotions, history and politics. Despite having about 64 GB of it on my computer, I consider myself far from an expert. I will say, however, that Argentine Rock/SKA is undoubtedly my favorite.
